To all my Euro Discovery Tripmates:
Well, it was quite a trip wasn’t it??? Eight
countries, (less for those that slept most of the trip)
5500 kms, two buses, countless Heinekens, and 1150
photos. Most importantly, 50 new mates! Fabooolus!
After many requests during the trip I decided to put
this little website together. On the next few
pages you’ll find a collection of the top 175 photos
that I took on the trip. It was quite difficult
deciding what photos to include from the 1100+.
Remember that you are only seeing less than 20% of what
I took on the trip. For the photos that didn’t make it
on the site some are really good, some just didn’t work,
some are just too personal for me to share publicly, and
some are probably real gems just buried in the sheer
volume.
I’ve reduced the quality of the photos to a lower
resolution so that the pages load faster. Still, if you
are on dialup it may take a while for the pages to
load. C’est Dommage! Sorry about that.
If anyone wants the high quality version of a
particular photo (for printing at your photo store),
shoot me an email and I’ll send it to you.
I also added some unsolicited commentary about the
trip, the places we were, and some of the people. I’ve
omitted some of the more controversial stuff but please
recognize that one man’s joke could be another man’s
offence. Still, if you take offence I apologize in
advance. I want you to know that was not my intention.
While on the topic of commentary some folks who are
not native English speakers may not understand all the
jokes. Just like the hotel dinner in Paris, Flavia, you
may not understand some of the jokes. Maybe you can
teach me Portuguese one day (or at least teach me how to
spell it!) and I’ll translate for you.

If you would like to share some feedback, or just
send a public message to our tripmates, send me an
email with “Feedback”
in the subject line and I will post your message on a
feedback page. If you want to have some of your own
photos posted, send me an email and I’ll provide
instructions on what to do.
I hope you enjoy the site.
